Sweet or savoury people

It happens rather often that I hear people asking each other wether they are a 'sweet or a savoury person'. I think it sounds ridiculous and opens up a can of worms because people as usual tend to struggle with the concept of accepting someone else's opinion even though they might not agree with it.   I actually don't mind being asked that question one bit. I will always reply that I could live without sweets but not without meat, cheese and pasta. Which leads me to two of my favourite dishes.
Lasagne and mac&cheese (with the side of meat, of course ;) ). When I travelled to the USA last
year I ate some form of mac&cheese pretty much
every day. I just love it way too much. I remember the first time ever I tried it; it was at the Hard Rock Cafe in Rome in 2008. They still have that dish called Twisted Mac, Chicken and Cheese on the menu and I order it every single time I enter a HRC. I mean…really…look at it!! YUM!! It is so delicious (mac), so tender (chicken), so creamy (cheese), so crunchy (bread)… I am so hungry right now, writing this post right now is such a bad idea. I am going to make me some mac'n'cheese alright! ;)
The other dish I mentioned, the lasagne has been one of my favourites way before the mac&cheese because my mom has been making it since I was a kid. I have ate my fair share of bad lasagne in my pretty long lasagne-eating-career, but I have also had some fantastic versions. I love to make it myself, too. I might do that tomorrow ;)
And while plenty of people can't wait to finish their main course just to get to indulge in sweets, I would rather take another piece of the lasagne and skip the dessert. And I have always been that way. In my chocolate-loving dessert-craving family there is always an abundance of sweets after meals but I tend to skip them altogether. I am just full and there is no room nor wish for desserts.
